TITLE: SOFTWARE ENGINEER - JAVA/J2EE

JOB DESCRIPTION: This leading financial services company is seeking an experienced J2EE developer with experience in web application development. The ideal candidate will work as part of the application development team and report to the web operations team leader. Knowledge of the application development life cycle is essential as you will be required to provide accurate effort estimates for deliverables as well as work with the application design, documentation and testing

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years experience developing web applications
3 years J2EE development
Experience of designing and developing J2EE Distributed Enterprise Applications
Working experience of languages and technologies as defined in J2EE1.3+ specifications, such as EJB, JMS, JNDI as well as Web Services (SOAP, WSDL), JDBC, SQL, XML is essential.
Proven design experience in an OOAD environment (working knowledge of CASE-tools and UML is a distinct advantage) and iterative software development methodologies (XP, RUP, etc.).
Customer focused, committed, excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Proven problem solving abilities.
Willingness to travel.

SALARY: €40,000 – €55,000
