TITLE: SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate will be in charge of maintaining and implementing all changes on the company in platforms as well as the correction of all issues relating to the network including inter-working with other network elements. This senior Engineer will work closely with design teams on the development of network elements and services and will manage software upgrades and service changes. The candidate will also be responsible for testing software patches and implementing new services.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in network support or development. Customer focused, and able to build relationships with both internal and external customers. Liaison with support teams, working together to resolve customer issues. Excellent troubleshooting and problem analysis skills. HP UX / Sun Solaris skills, to sys admin level. Knowledge of key performance and quality indicators for value added services as well as familiarity with common incident scenarios and their potential root-causes. Ability to work as part of a team, with excellent communication skills. Excellent knowledge sharing and coaching skills. Knowledge of processes, and how they contribute to the effectiveness of the role. ITIL exposure an advantage. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work situations. GSM and SS7 knowledge, SQL/Database and Alcatel R2.3 IN Platform experience is an advantage.
