COMPANY PROFILE: My client is an international provider of card and electronic payment processing services to banks worldwide. With its headquarters in Dublin, they provide a transaction-processing platform to support banks and financial institutions.

TITLE: SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER VB

JOB DESCRIPTION: In this role you will be the lead of a team of VB developers working to maintain and develop a newly develop a newly purchased transaction processing product. In the role, you will build the initial team of developers and integrate the team and processes needed to deploy the VB application. Your responsibilities will include, maintaining and developing the application, specify changes and enhancements on the platform, and resolve any bugs that arise.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

Visual Basic 6
Database systems, Oracle and PL/SQL
Web technologies and standards: HTML, XML, Java Script
Unix platform experience
C++ an advantage
