COMPANY PROFILE: This company is a leading financial services firm who provide a diverse range of financial services such as wealth accumulation and insurance products.

TITLE: SERVER SOFTWARE ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION: This leading financial company is looking for an experienced Server Application developer to join their IT team. The main purpose of this role is to work in the maintenance/support and development of enterprise systems. You will be required to provide technical expertise in problem solving, design and construction of Client/Server applications using skills in Visual Basic and SQL. Good communication and written skills are also required as you will need to communicate and document systems and applications.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3-4 years experience developing Client/Server applications. Experience in data warehousing and database support or a reporting environment. Experience in financial services preferred.
Technical Skills: Client/Server skills: Microsoft Visual Basic / PowerBuilder / MS-SQL 7.5/2000, T-SQL, OLAP/ROLAP, Crystal Reports. Forte/UDS
Other Skills: Proven design experience in a Client/Server environment (working knowledge of CASE-tools and UML is a distinct advantage).

Other: Willingness to travel.
Knowledge on Financial products and services is an advantage.

SALARY: €35,000 – €55,000
